What are the best Portes du Soleil Webcams?
The Portes du Soleil ski area has lots of webcams dotted about. Webcams are great for checking on the weather before you head out for the day – even within the one ski area, the weather can easily differ between the villages. Here are our favourites.
Rochassons webcam – Châtel
This Chatel webcam is especially useful for early bird skiers. Often in the early morning, the mist may be heavy in the valley but the pistes above the cloud line are basking in sunshine. Check this webcam before heading out early to Rochassons.
Morclan webcam – Super Châtel
This is one of our favourite 360 degree views in the whole of the Portes du Soleil, summer or winter. The Morclan lift is located in Super Chatel and is a steep ski area for advanced skiers with some challenging red and black pistes.
Braitaz webcam – La Chapelle D’Abondance
A 5 minute drive from Chalet Cannelle, you can take the Panthiaz telecabine to the Braitaz ski area. Braitaz is a beautiful and rarely used ski area, a lovely area to ski with views of Mont de Grange and Mont Blanc.
Avoiraz webcam
This Avoriaz webcam provides a perfect view from the Tour lift, taking in all of Avoriaz.
Torgon webcam – Portes du Soleil – Switzerland
Torgon is a quiet resort to ski with some fabulous pistes. However,it can experience fog when the Chatel ski area is completely clear. This webcam is useful before heading to Torgon and getting caught by a heavy white out.
These are just some of the webcams in the ski area! If you want more, check out all the Chatel webcams and the Morzine – Avoriaz webcams.
