Want to check the snow conditions before your ski trip? These are the best webcams in the Portes du Soleil.
The ski domain has lots of snow webcams dotted about, great for checking on the weather before you head out for the day – even within the one ski domain, the weather can easily differ between the villages. Here are our favourites
Rochassons web cam – Châtel
Especially useful for those early bird skiers, where the early morning mist may still be lingering in the valley but the pistes above the mist line are basking in sunshine.
Morclan webcam – Super Châtel
This is one of our favourite 360 degree views in the whole of the Portes du Soleil, summer or winter. The Morclan lift is located in Super Chatel and is considered a ski area for advanced skiers with a couple of steep reds and blacks.
Braitaz webcam – La Chapelle D’Abondance
A 5 minute drive from Chalet Cannelle, you can take the Panthiaz telecabine to the Braitaz ski area. This lovely ski area is barely used yet a beautiful place to ski with views of Mont de Grange and Mont Blanc.
Avoiraz webcam
Great view from the Tour lift taking in all of Avoriaz.
Torgon webcam – Portes du Soleil – Switzerland
Torgon is a great quiet resort to ski but can have foggy days when the Chatel side is clear, useful to check this webcam before heading that way and getting caught by a white out.
These are just some of the webcams in the region! If you want more, check out all the webcams in Chatel and the webcams in Morzine – Avoriaz.
** Just a note that some of the webcams are not on between seasons due to lift maintenance **
